Benazir Bhutto's 19-Year-Old Son, Bilawal Bhutto, To Assume Chairman Position of PPP

Today in 1945:
Davy Jones of the popular band "The Monkee's" was born.
Benazir Bhutto's son, who is only 19-years-old, will succeed her as the chairman of the Pakistan People's Party. The party says it intends to take part in elections on January 8 of the new year.

Bilawal Bhutto, Benazir's son, will chair the Pakistan People's Party with his father, Asif Ali Zardar, as his co-chairman.

The position was said to have been placed on the husband of Bhutto, but he relinquished the position to his son, who has taken the position humbly and honorably. Although many believe that the assassination and ensuing violence could postpone the elections, sources say that the election should continue on as planned, and the Pakistan People's Party states that they still wish to take part in those elections despite the loss.

"My mother always said democracy is the best revenge." Bilawal Bhutto says.
